T2 Curious | November 01, 2013

T2 have got me, yet again, with the swoon-worthy packaging for their latest collection "Curious".  This collection is packed with all things shiny and I LOVE how they've incorporated the recent irridescent trend in their loose leaf tea boxes.

How ace are these mega-shiny cannisters?!

Would make such pretty gifts for the upcoming holidays! *swoon*

Free Halloween "Bite Me" Candy Bag Toppers | October 23, 2013

So, it's occurred to me that I've never actually designed a Halloween freebie before. I guess it's because we rarely celebrate this holiday down here in Australia... When we moved from our inner-city apartment to our house in the 'burbs, a couple of years ago, we expected a sudden surge in trick-or-treaters knocking at our door but there have been absolutely ZILCH the entire time we've lived here! :(

Having said that, I think it's a pretty awesome holiday so this year I've designed (kinda last minute, I know) these candy bag toppers. I've abandoned the traditional orange and black with this project. Yep, it's pink and red again (I know, I know. Promise to give up on this colour scheme soon. I think). Warning: Lots of Happy Lab candy was devoured in the making of this project! :)

Check out my latest freebie up on Oh Happy Day- Cloud Greeting Card printables. How strangely apt, considering this gloomy Melbourne weather!

FREE "Read My Lips" Notecards | October 03, 2013

Recently, (somewhere in between wolfishly tearing through self-improvement books and multiple failed attempts to curb a sugar addiction), I designed these mini lip-shaped notecards. The seemingly ubiquitous 'lips' motif, sported in many a fashion collection these days, finally snagged me and, as trends have a tendency to do, refused to let go. And so I was hopelessly compelled to design these little smoochies. Well, they are pretty freaking cute, aren't they?

It's as easy as pie to make: Download, Print, Cut. Fold. Write a fabulous message inside.

Oh, and I've also included gift tag versions as a bonus. Mwah!

I get a tiny thrill everytime I find an email in my inbox from Julia Kostreva. This is because I know this means she's got some new goodies to share and they're always blog-worthy! Loving her chic iPhone covers. My fave is the white marble- what's yours?

On the Town... | September 17, 2013

I seem to be in a bit of a pink and red mood of late. I haven't the faintest idea why, especially since we're nowhere near Valentine's Day, but it is what it is...

If I had a spare $560 dollars and the ability to balance on an upright pencil, I would get these shoes.  Who am I kidding, I would probably never wear them. I would just put them on display in our living room and gawk at them all day. Or perhaps eat them for dessert. They look like candy. Speaking of candy, I'm currently coveting this super cute 'Candy Shop' nail polish by Deborah Lippmann. It's sparkly and colourful. What's not to love.

Lips, lips, lips. Lips are everywhere these days and how genius to make them into a cosmetic pouch....

I know cupcakes have been done to death. I think we may have moved onto donuts... but they're still a pretty gosh darn tasty accessory. Mark and I visited Trophy Cupcakes in Seattle a couple of years ago. Check out their Black Forest number and salivate accordingly. (By the way, do you know they have a book out?)

Party Mix... | September 10, 2013

This pastel-toned Party Mix came about when I stumbled upon Kelly Wearstler's bar accessories. Yes, they are a tad pricey...  but they are gorgeous! Particularly her Rose Quartz Wine Stopper and Bejewelled Brass Bottle Opener. Ooer! Would some one like to buy these for me?

Also, have you seen Jonathan Adler's latest fall collection? Worth a peek.

Clutch and Pouch | September 04, 2013

You may have noticed the semi-recent explosion of adorable clutches and pouches. There are simply too many to list! However, I couldn't resist putting together a little round-up of some of my faves. They're all a little reminiscent of candy, don't you think? My hands down absolute favourite is the Lulu Guinness perspex lips clutch! In fact, I'm loving this recent trend of transparent bags.

Make sure to also check out- Falconwright pouches, more awesome Lulu Guinness clutches, all the pretties from Baba Souk, the entire collection of iPhone pouches at Blackbird and the Owl and pouches from Melbourne's own Georgie Cummings...

Oh, and if you discover any other gems, let me know! :)

Paper Goodies from Lagom Design | August 28, 2013

Hey folks, sorry for the disappearing act. Been a tad under the weather lately...

Today I thought I'd share with you some delicious paper goodies from Lagom Design. In particular, I'm loving their gift wrap but I also adore these greeting cards (below) which are part of the Postco collection designed by Kelly Hyatt. Aren't they cute?

As you can see, I'm just a big sucker for gold foiling! :)

Dreaming of a Summer Escape... | August 04, 2013

As I'm writing this post, we're at the height of winter and it's pouring with rain. I think that's ample inspiration to round up some of my dream purchases for a summer escape...

Time for a Tea Party? | July 29, 2013

I'm a huge fan of T2! I regularly visit their stores to check out their latest teawares and have a taste of their latest brews. More often than not, I will end up leaving with a pretty souvenir, from the experience, to add to my ever-expanding teaware collection. It's very hard to resist :)

At the moment, I'm loving their new jumbo colour block 'jumbled' cups and saucers!

I'm also loving the intricate geometric patterns in their bright and colourful Casbah collection. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a modern Moroccan-inspired tea party with all these beauties?

Oh, and their Bling Coasters are pretty lovely too!

Scrapbook | July 24, 2013

All these things I know to be true:

  • Kate Lilley is awesome. I mean, seriously. Love her site Minieco and love her Strawberry Treat Box printable on Oh Happy Day. Love love love.
  • Aiko Fukawa does the cutest illustrations. Guaranteed to make you smile. Get lost in her colourful world right here.
  • These pillows are just too adorable and I must have them all.
  • Marsha Golemac creates pretty things with paper. Her Mother's Day 'Things we love' sign for Megan Park's boutique window is just beautiful. I want to be Ms. Golemac. There, I said it.
  • Movenpick's Creme Brulee ice-cream is to-die-for and no, there's nothing strange about eating ice-cream in the dead of Winter.
  • After getting sucked into the rabbit hole that is Pinterest and getting lost for an hour (or two), I've become a) really inspired by Japanese packaging and b) absolutely certain that Pinterest needs to have a big, flashing "Enter at your own risk" sign on its homepage. If you dare, you can enter the rabbit hole here.
P.S. I hope you like my new 'Scrapbook' column! I plan to use this space to impart my current obsessions and the inspirations that are feeding my creative projects. I hope they'll inspire you too!

Mini Paper Fan Printables on 'Oh Happy Day' | July 15, 2013

So, I disappeared a bit last week. Sorry about that folks! My new Pomodoro timer app still works a treat but at some point, for whatever the reason, the wheels fell off my whole 'getting organised' mission. Just so you know, I've been working on these babies! It's my latest post for Oh Happy Day. You can grab them here.
