Here's a sneak preview of some objects collected for my upcoming Engagement Party on Sunday. They all fit perfectly with the vibrant and festive colour palette that has emerged. It's all coming together bit by bit...
I am totally smitten with this colourful Harlekin Ribbon from Maileg. I discovered it at Scarlet Jones and instantly knew I had to have it! The lanterns are also from Scarlet Jones and the wood pencils were found at Oxfam.
Just a quick note to let you know that updates to Eat Drink Chic will be on hold until the middle of next week as the mad dash to the party continues. Thanks for your understanding and I look forward to posting pics of the day! :)

Hi All! I've been wanting to apologise profusely for the lack of updates in the last month or so. I've missed quite a few days here and there and I've also been particularly bad with answering emails... BIG apologies! Some recurring health issues have left me scrambling at the last minute to get the details finished for my upcoming Engagement Party. And, yes, I'm big on the details! There are quite a few DIY elements involved so, needless to say, I've been flat out. The party is this sunday and my fiance and I are incredibly excited!!

My lovely mother and I recently spent an afternoon playing around with table floral arrangement ideas in preparation for sunday. We picked up some vibrant, summery colours- red, orange and pink gerberas, yellow billy buttons and strawberry fields. We're also hoping to add some other flowers of similar colours to the mix on the day. I'm in love with big, bright sunflowers at the moment and would like to see them incorporated in some way. As you can see, we're going with very simple arrangements in a collection of assorted jars. These were just a practice run with some work-in-progress ideas. Stay tuned for pics of the event to see the final result!

A cute collection of linocut prints by Hugo Guinness at John Derian. Love his doggy totes, spotted here.

Some sweet finds in the Spring/Summer 2010 House & Home catalogue at Toast. I especially love their bedlinen.

I only just discovered the Ramblings of Dottie Angel. It's a delight to scroll through the beautifully composed images of Tif Fussell's crafty creations, collection of vintage goodies and loveable dachshund Olive.
Which reminds me, I really want to get this book.

What could be cuter than this kids clothing from Makié? Well, quite possibly the styling in these adorable photos that co-ordinate the various pieces in their catalogue. They're like little works of art.

It's time again for a girly overload of florals, ruffles, pleats, lace and bows in Alannah Hill's new Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. Her campaigns are always so gorgeously styled too!

Apologies for the lack of posts in the last couple of days. Been flat on the couch recovering from illness with some help from old Will and Grace episodes! Feeling a lot better now :)
I've long been a fan of Ellie Snow's inspiring blog Mint and couldn't resist posting about her delightful calling cards available in her stationery shop Hello Tenfold. You can purchase a set of 50 that are customised to include your own details and come in different colours and patterns. I just think they're so creative!
