You may have already seen Rachel's beautiful blog Elephantine... Have you also seen her beautiful new online shop? Take a peek!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd revisit some of my old Valentine's Day DIY projects from previous years...just in case you missed it, or simply felt like taking another peek! Most contain free stationery printables to help you re-create the project for yourself.
DIY 'Je t'aime' coffee cup wrappers - Wouldn't it be cute to surprise a loved one on Valentine's morning with a cup of coffee for the road that literally says 'I love you'? With this concept in mind I designed these love-themed wrappers that can be used to dress up a disposable coffee cup. The perfect romantic gesture for the caffeine obsessed!
DIY 'Je t'aime' mini card sets - I really enjoyed creating the design for the 'Je t'aime' coffee cup wrappers' so I thought I'd also transform them into mini cards with polka dot lined envelopes.
DIY Valentine Post-it Love Notes - To elicit a smile or two from your loved one on Valentines's day, try writing sweet little messages on post-its and leave them in unexpected locations for your partner to find.

DIY Origami Heart Love Note - Create an origami paper heart and write a private message to a loved one inside.
DIY Valentine Popcorn Invitation ( for a cosy night in ) - Instead of splurging on dinner at a fancy restaurant, have a cosy night in on the couch. A couch 'picnic' of sorts. Snuggle under a blanket, order take-out, indulge in champagne, popcorn and candy in front of your favourite romantic movie. Download the bits n' pieces to re-create this 'popcorn' invitation to give to your loved one.

Beautiful, soft winter collection from Fleur Wood.

For Australia Day, Mark and I hosted a bbq for some friends and family. About a year ago we moved into our beautiful house in the 'burbs, so I guess you could say that the occasion was also a housewarming of sorts. I'm still very much in the process of doing up our place- finding the right bits and pieces to transform it into a warm, cosy home.
For the celebration I decorated our dining table with some brightly coloured flowers in terracotta pots. The cane chairs, I'm proud to say, were picked up at an op shop for a mere $40 (for a set of four). They add some character to our dining setting. Best. Buy. Ever.

We're looking to eventually find a large, elegant, solid wood outdoor table for our deck but couldn't find one that we liked in time for the day so we settled for some cafe style tables and stools which ended up looking quite cute!

The gorgeous glass jugs in the pic above added a touch of Mexico and were found at Market Import (one of my fave homeware shops in Melbourne). I also laid out my ever-expanding collection of colourful bowls which contained the pre-bbq munchies.
Hmm... perhaps I should have made Sangria?

So it appears Gorman can do no wrong. Another gorgeous collection!

I'm intrigued by this buttered popcorn ice-cream recipe by Trotski and Ash. I'm sure it would make a great addition to a movie night with friends.
While you're there check out all their other cute recipes accompanied by the gorgeous photography of Lauren Bamford.

Above is a collection of vintage style refrigerators from Big Chill, Gorenje and Smeg.
We're currently on the hunt for a new fridge and would love one of these beauties to brighten up our kitchen. Unfortunately, Smeg appears to be the only brand available in Australia and both of their models are too small for our needs. *sigh*

I hope everyone had a spiffy holiday season. I'm back at work after my break and ready to tackle a new and wonderful year on Eat Drink Chic!
Check out the beautiful collection of tunics, caftans and dresses from Two.

I'd like to wish everyone a very happy festive season!! Eat, drink, be merry and all that!
Thank- you all so much for reading my little blog. It's been a wonderful year. Your support means the world to me and is greatly appreciated! :)
I will be taking a break and will return with updates on January 9. Looking forward to getting stuck into some new and exciting projects in the new year!
Anyway, I might just wander off now and sleep for a week.
Toodles.

I spotted Happy Lab recently at Chadstone Shopping Center and was immediately enticed by the cute packaging and creative store design. Beakers and test tubes filled with colourful candy and chocolate line the walls whilst staff parade around in lab coats. If the sugar doesn't make you happy, the colours surely will. Don't you just love great packaging?
So, what has everyone got planned for the holiday break? On the very top of my list are activities that involve minimal thinking and couch appreciation.
We're also looking forward to Sukie's very first trip to the beach and enjoying other dog-friendly excursions. I'm certain there will also be much merriment over various BBQs with friends, regular meltings in the summer heat and excessive chocolate consumption. (I've come to the conclusion that it is impossible to avoid sugar overload during the holidays so this year I'm not even going to try.)
But before I get ahead of myself, there is still much to be done. As usual, I have left everything to the absolute last minute. Next week will be a flurry of gift making, packaging and shopping- oh my.
Anyway, please enjoy these gift tags that I've designed for you- Hope they help you with your last minute gift projects.

I'm a huge sucker for both dogs and cute pillows and I think this pillow collection from cloud7 is super adorable.
