A Special Day in 1977

When my mother and father got married, it was in a registry office in Sydney with 10 guests. Simple, small and intimate.

My mother wore a beautiful floral summer dress that cost her $45. She carried three red roses.

They married on New Year's Eve 1977. I arrived 2 years later...

Just thought I'd share this sweet, nostalgic moment with you all :)

I'm still eagerly awaiting the engagement photos. So much so I'm having dreams about it.

That's so sweet, I have a picture of my grandparent on their wedding day coming out of the courthouse and it's my favorite picture!

I am sitting with Rolana right now (the beautiful bride in these photos). She is visiting England and currently staying with my parents. I have popped round to say hello (it just happens to be my 38th birthday). Rolana is my mother's, mother's adopted sister's daughter. I believe that makes me 1st cousin once removed. This is the first time I have ever met her!
We are relaxing in the lounge after our walk and picnic, getting our strength back before going to the local pub for dinner.
