FREE Patterned Holiday Gift Tags | December 02, 2012

Firstly, I want to send out big hugs to all those who sent sweet comments and tweets regarding my new site- it makes me so happy to receive such positive feedback! It's always a little nerve-wracking when you make such a major change so it's been wonderfully encouraging. You guys rock- Thank-you so much!! xo
Now, onto some holiday goodness...
Down here in Oz we usually celebrate our Christmas in the scorching heat. Our festive season is a flurry of barbecues, pool and beach parties, picnics and warm sunshine... not exactly the typical motifs associated with the holiday season.

So I thought I'd create a series of patterned gift tags in bright colours to reflect a more modern and summery feel for your holiday gifts! If you're interested in trying a slightly less traditional look for your gifts this year, these tags may be for you!

If you have any issues downloading, try right clicking (Control and Click on the mac) on the download button and saving directly to your computer.
NOTE: IF you are using Mac Preview to view or print this file, the colours may come out completely wrong (i.e. black and red?). Save the file to your computer (Press Control and Click on the download button and "Save Linked File as") and open with Adobe Acrobat Reader instead. If you do not have this program, you can download it for free from here.

Print out onto good quality, thick white card stock. For those located in Melbourne, specialty paper suppliers include Papyrus Design, Rock Paper Scissors and Papermarc. For more vibrant colours, try thick glossy photo paper. I have used a Canon Pixma MG6150 Colour Inkjet Printer in conjunction with Canon Pixma Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (260 gsm) To cut out the tags I use an X-acto knife with a ruler and cutting board. I used a 1/8" round CARL craft punch for the hole to connect the twine. |

Hi Lou- Thanks for the kind words. I've actually deliberately used the phrase "happy holidays" for a couple of reasons. a) not everyone in Australia, or around the world, celebrates Christmas and I wanted to be as inclusive of all holidays, (including christmas) as possible and b) alliteration is awesome ;-)
loved your blog and publish it on my site. I will follow your work with joy. Congratulations.
