Happy Holidays! | December 24, 2010

For my final post for the year I thought I would share with you some of the little details of my holiday decorating. In all the insanity, leading up to Christmas, it's nice to immerse myself in the the serenity depicted in these shots and I hope you enjoy them too.

You may recognise this little dove - it's the spring bird card from o-check. This beautiful frame was purchased from Est about a year ago. (Unfortunately, I can't remember the creator's name as I've lost the tag that came along with it).

These nifty white wire fairy lights were purchased from Ikea. They look amazing scattered around the apartment. My only regret is not buying more! The next time I was there they were all sold out.

I bought the larger tree bark votive holder a year ago from Est. The smaller votive was purchased recently from Capital Kitchen. My husband arrived home a couple of days ago carrying the biggest bunch of flowers I have ever seen! This lovely white rose was tied around the base of the arrangement.

This birch tree ornament was also a purchase from Capital Kitchen.

I want to say a huge thank-you to all my readers over this last year. It's been a fantastic journey! I look forward to returning in a couple of weeks time- January 10, 2011 with regular updates. Have a wonderful and happy holiday season everyone!

See you all in the new year! xxoo

I found these birch flowers on etsy, they don't have a stem, but look very similar to yours:

  15. Oh! I love those wooden trees! I will have to recreate something like that in my own house. But I think mine will probably become a year-round fixture!

  17. Oh my! Those tree bark votives are so charming!!! I love any opportunity to bring the outdoors inside. Love your blog!
  18. These are all great, and wonderful inspiration. I usually just use my twig trees at Christmas, but this year I used them to decorate a winter plaid birthday party. Each tree had garland made from a different plaid. I ripped them so the edges were rough, went well with the twig trees. The birch looks so much more wintery, I am going to have to try it!
  19. same to you ! ?
