Travel Chic | June 14, 2012

Mark and I are jetting off to the U.S. tomorrow! We're going to be visiting Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. We'll then be heading up to Canada to visit Vancouver, BC.

Flying is really not my favourite thing in the world, but accessoring for the journey can make things a little more bearable! The following are some items that I either a) bought for the journey or b) fantasised about getting for the journey. The majority of which, unfortunately, fall into the latter category.

Safari collection { suitcases } from Globe-trotter.

Pastel Geo { scarf } from Topshop. (Is it just me or are planes always freezing! I'll definitely be bringing a warm scarf for the journey)

Organic pomegranate { lip balm } from Figs and Rouge. (A possible remedy for all that awful, dry cabin air.)

How cute is this { laptop case } from Ted Baker?

The comfiest sequined { bed socks } from Peter Alexander. (I actually splurged on a pair of these for the trip. I believe a 14 hour flight is solid justification.)

Cute pink polka dot { cosmetic bag } from Gorman. (Gorman really needs to stop tempting me with all their pretty goodies.)

So, just so you know, although I'm away over the next couple of weeks I will still be updating Eat Drink Chic whenever I can!

    These are awesome picks! I have that exact lip balm and love it. And I'm pretty sure I need everything else, starting with the laptop case!

    I love that you placed Figs & Rouge, for some time I have been looking for petroleum free balms!

    Oh.... and I hope you enjoy the Pacific Northwest, if you find yourself in the Madison neighborhood of Seattle check out Canopy Blue it is a fantastic little place.

    Hi Amy!

    I hope you have a great time in our neck of the woods. If you intend to make it to the "Eastside" of Seattle, called Bellevue, think about coming to the little town of Kirkland. It's right on the water, great views of the Seattle skyline, great restuarants, shops and amazing sunsets. While you're there, I suggest you stop by our home decor store and kids store. Simplicity Decor and Simplicity ABC. I guarentee you'll find some unique treasure to take back to Melbourne with you! I heart your blog! ~ Amleia

    i'm from vancouver too- how exciting! like others have said, it's been quite rainy lately, but i do hope you'll enjoy our beautiful city either way :) (also, i need that laptop case! it's way too cute...)

    Portland has the best restaurants. Try at least one of these: Nostrana (northwest/italian), Pambiche(cuban), Potobello (vegan trattoria), Bamboo sushi (sustainable fisheries only). Bars: Whisky Soda Lounge and The Sweet Hereafter. Retail gems: Gilt jewelery and Canoe home/design. I love Portland!

    Check out Gas Town and Main street (North of Broadway) in Vancouver, you will like the funky independent shops.

    Oh, have such a great time! I'm originally from Vancouver - if you get a chance, you should eat at Carderos or Sandbar (Sandbar is on Granville Island which you should definitely visit!).
