'Typo' Desk Make-over! | November 09, 2013

So when Typo asked me if I would like a voucher to make-over my workspace, I said 'Duh, yes please!' :)

I'm a bit of a fan of Typo. You may have noticed some of their goods popping up in various projects of mine. In fact, every single time I use their legendary Eiffel Tower scissors in a shoot I get asked (by multiple readers)- "Where did you get those amazing scissors?". Actually, it's more like "WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE AMESOME SCISSORS!! ARGHHH!! THEY'RE SO CUTE, I'M DYYYYING!!!" Apparently those scissors have the magical ability to provoke mass hysteria. Go figure.

Typo have a lot of colourful and funky bits n' pieces but in the end I decided to keep the colour scheme simple with my workspace. Aqua is one of my all-time favourite colours and I'm a huge fan of using touches of gold. I just love the candy dispenser- completely necessary, right? ;-)

So here's the sweet part- Typo are currently running a competition where you can win your very own desk make-over! Simply send in a photo of your current workspace in order to be in the running.  The most 'tragic' of desks will win one of 3 make-over packages. The competition is open to residents in AustraliaNew ZealandSouth AfricaUSASingaporeMalaysiaHong Kong and Thailand. You can check out the details and enter right here

Happy weekend folks! :)

are the hooks from typo as well?
  2. Hi Tania- No, I already had the hooks, they're not from Typo. They do have some cute novelty hooks though- which you can find in here http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/typo/wall-art/
  3. Amy, your styling of all our Typo product looks AMAZING..!

Your desk scene is awesome - I love the combination of the vintage wood back with the aqua blue and gold, it feels really fresh and new.

I'm also totally obsessed with your last pic of all our Made by Typo craft product... Your styling is absolute perfection, I have no words!!

Hi there! I recently bought the candy dispenser/machine, and I have no idea on how to open it to put my lollies in... so how did you do it?
  15. PLEASE, do desktop wallpapers, i'm using every your wallpaper, they are so unicue! Do more! <3
  16. Hey Suzanne- The dispenser should come with a little booklet of instructions. Basically you unscrew the top and lift off the blue 'lid' and pour the candy in there. Hope that was helpful :)
  17. I'm absolutely in love with your new work space, Amy! I've gotta admit that mine is looking pretty pitiful and sad in comparison. My workspace is literally a desk with a chair and my laptop. I adore how you made your space so fun and vibrant though with the gold and aqua. Definitely feeling inspired now!

You job is amazing... i'm screaming inside : "THEY'RE SO CUTE, I'M DYYYYING!!!" LOL. I'm not a designer but i love this job... and when i read that "Following your dreams is an emotional roller-coaster. It's hard work; a sensation possibly akin to giving birth to a cow. " I almost cried! haha I'm feeling this exactly sensation right now... Hope one day I have courage to change everything :)
    Thank you!
    Keep following your dreams!
